I went to Brooklyn Homebrew and left with basically all of this in my bag. I spent a chunk more change than Popular Science does, though I supported a local business and did not pay for shipping. I still need to get my CO2 tank filled, but I’m not complaining. I am struggling to get the tubing around the regulator, however.

Mako swears by the CO2 Doctor. Apparently you can convert a SodaStream cartridge into a totally refillable cartridge. Brooklyn Homebrew carries CO2 tanks I’m also impressed with FizzGiz because it looks simple and they give an extensive rundown of all the options, including one that uses a bike pump.
